ResponsibilitiesJob Description:
Manage daily changeovers ensuring successful mold and trim tooling set up, automation equipment readiness, and set plan for startup of the lineManage all tooling that flows through the facility ensuring the inventory is accurate, repairs are managed and coordinated through internal and external support channelsWork directly with all departments to troubleshoot open issues with production on a daily basisDemonstrates knowledge of company specific product, material and/or production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilitiesWork closely with the quality team to provide responses to customer complaints and coordinate long-term corrective actionsFocus on continually improving changeover processes to drive down time from startup to first good casePartner with central engineering on new tooling designs to support product trials or improve production on current toolManages storage and organization of tooling to ensure readinessSkilled in using precision measurement and set-up devicesIdentify modifications or upgrades to address downtime issuesReads electrical schematics and interprets specifications. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Skilled Machinist experience in high precision machine shop/manufacturing environment preferred Computer literacy in Desktop Applications to include data collection and manipulationAbility to execute close tolerance fabrication, component assembly and machine set-upSkilled in using precision measurement and set-up devicesCompetent in working with computerized machine controls and interfaces.Highly organized, problem solver, able to handle multiple tasks, self-motivated with strong sense of accountability.Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization.Self-directed with ability to work with minimal supervisionResults focused with strong desire to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunitiesAssist in process technician responsibilities as assignedMust be a Team playerHydraulic, electrical, mechanical and/or general maintenance knowledge preferredInjection molding and/or plastics industry experience preferredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required
