Tooling Project Manager

Responsibilities:

Lead tooling projects from concept to production handover. Assure finished tools meet the needs of internal and external customers.  Provide timelines, and regular project updates. Control all cost, delivery and quality objectivesReview new product designs and make recommendations on tooling projects to ensure they are designed for manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-savings.Provide the Sales, New Product Development, and Engineering teams with quotations for tooling & production using our MRP systemManage, mentor and develop tooling engineers in tooling concepts and Albea systemsManage tooling suppliers for quotations, schedules, mold design reviews, build, mold acceptance test and project implementation.Support process and automation engineers with tool designs that perform well with all facets of the production facilityImplement tooling modifications and improvements.

Requirements:

Self-motivated individual with a positive “Can-Do” attitude and Excellent Organizational and communication skills.BS Degree or Equivalent Experience: Injection Mold tool design and build or related engineering.At least 10 years’ experience designing injection moldsExpert with 3D modeling software specifically Solidworks. Proficient with AutoCADProject and people management skillsFamiliarity with most common plastics used in injection molding. Mold making experience is a plus.Able to read and understand engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.Travel domestically & internationally
