Job Title: Tooling Design Engineer

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Tool Design Engineer to join our client's team, responsible for designing high-speed progressive stamping dies. This role involves partnering with the New Product Development (NPD) and manufacturing teams to bring new products to life. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tooling design, particularly with progressive dies, and proficiency in SolidWorks and CREO. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage both remote and onsite team members are essential.

ResponsibilitiesDesign high-speed progressive stamping dies.Collaborate with New Product Development (NPD) and manufacturing teams to develop new products.Manage both remote and onsite team members effectively.Utilize SolidWorks and CREO for designing complex 3D mechanical assemblies.Ensure designs meet high-volume stamping production requirements.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience in Tooling Design, with a focus on progressive dies for high-volume stamping (10+ years preferred).Advanced knowledge of metal stamping, die making, progressive dies, and precision machining.Proficiency in SolidWorks and CREO.Proven track record in designing complex 3D mechanical assemblies.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in team collaboration.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in mechanical engineering and/or completion of an apprenticeship.Strong understanding and experience with sheet metal.Experience with high-volume production environments.Familiarity with precision machining and metal forming techniques.Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and collaborative. You'll be working closely with both the NPD and manufacturing teams, spending time both in the office and out on the floor. The role involves managing remote and onsite team members and handling high-speed progressive stamping dies in a high-volume production setting. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
