Under the supervision of the Maintenance Facilitator or designee, upgrade and/or prepare machine parts to assure that an adequate stock is maintained for current and future production and facilities equipment to minimize loss-time due to breakdowns. Will support the control and organization of the spare parts area. Follows QSR, ISO, safety and environmental regulations.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
1. Maintain all plant die sets sharpened in good operating conditions.
2. Maintain adequate stock of spare parts to repair such die.
3. Maintain all shop equipment in good operating conditions, to performs necessary P.M. is such equipment and to assure that other users follow the correct usage methods and that they maintain the area clean and organized.
4. Advice the Maintenance Facilitator of any improper usage of the equipment or machinery ad die sets.
5. Maintain an inventory list of all shop equipment and special instruments.
6. Works of special project to improve quality and/or productivity.
7. Maintain adequate organization and inventory control of the spare parts.
8. Assure re-order levels are satisfactory and evaluate reorder parts for maintain minimum order points.
9. Maintain parts dollar value on inventory list of the spare parts.
10. Observe and enforces current good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), safety Regulations, ISO requirements and Company Policies.
11. Maintain proper procedure of clean-up tools while performing duties in production areas.
12. Keep current on any specification changes, equipment modifications, department procedures and any other changes which affect performance.
13. Active participation in Lean activities.
14. Maintain an open line of communication to assure all problems or changes are communicated and resolve in a timely manner.
15. As applicable, make suggestions for improving product quality and equipment. Collaborate with supervision, engineering and other personnel on quality and performance improvements as request.
16. Performs other related duties as assigned.
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:**
**A. Education:**
+ Tool Die School Graduate or Vocational School.
+ Able to read, write and understand English.
**B. Experience:**
+ Five years in tool and die making in a pharmaceutical environment.
+ Must have experience in mechanical maintenance in a production facility including electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Computer knowledge.
+ Experiencein,TIGwelding,MIGweldingandstickwelding.
**C. Physical Demands:**
+ Exposure to noise, heat and odors.
+ Work includes bending, pushing, carrying and raising. Must be able to pick-up 40 lbs.
