HDR is hiring an Assistant Project Manager with experience in client development and the delivery of datacenter projects to work in Mobile, Alabama. This individual will work closely with HDR's Regional Building Engineering Services Business Group Managers as well as our global TMT client management team.

This position is an opportunity to join one of the largest, fastest growing, and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the industry. In additional to the managing and delivery of projects which is the primary focus of this role, the successful candidate must possess the drive, experience and charisma needed to develop and secure work from a robust global client base and expand upon HDR’s reputation within these markets. This individual will also manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion.

Primary ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's life cycle, from development and initiation to close-out, while under the supervision of a Project ManagerResponsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger projectCoordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and scheduleWork with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsPerform other duties as needed

Preferred QualificationsProven background in successfully delivering various datacenter and mission critical projects ranging from upfront planning and pre-design activities through detail design, construction support and commissioning Keen focus on organizational skills and follow-through PMP certificationFamiliarity and/or experience with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, AutoDesk Construction Cloud and BluebeamMS Office, MS Project and MS Access experienceFamiliarity with Google communication products such as gDrive, Chat, Docs, Sheets, and SlidesDemonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of Architects, Engineers, and DesignersAvailability to travel to client sites or HDR offices as needed (<15%)Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered ArchitectHealthcare, Data Center, Science and Technology and/or Mission Critical facilities experiencePreference will be given to local candidatesRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field 5 years related experience Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
