JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our warehouse operations.  This position offers hands-on experience in the day-to-day functions of contract logistics, supply chain management, inventory control, shipping/receiving and warehouse organization.  The intern will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth logistics operations and efficient supply chain process.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

Main focus of responsibility will be project based around a continuous improvement initiative

Assist in Warehouse Operations

Help with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock audits Participate in receiving, sorting, and processing inbound shipments Assist with picking, packing, and preparing shipments for outbound deliveries

Logistics Support

Track and document shipping and receiving, ensuring accurate data entry Assist in scheduled deliveries and coordinating with transportation partners Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize freight and transportation processes

Supply Chain Analysis

Assist with the data entry and analysis to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time deliveries and inventory turnover Support the team in identifying areas for process improvement within the supply chain

Warehouse Operations

Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse layout Ensure proper labeling and storage of goods and materials

Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures and company policies Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field Strong interest in supply chain, logistics, and warehouse operations Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Familiarity with warehouse management (WMS) systems is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Strong communication skills and a team oriented attitude
