Job Description
Seeking a TIG welder to perform repair work on gas turbine components. The role involves welding on thin materials that are 40-60 thousand gauged, with a focus on stainless steel and other alloys such as Hastelloy, Inconel, cobalt, and superalloy. Precision and heat control are crucial due to the thin and expensive nature of the materials. The welder will prepare their own work and blend the welds using a variety of grinders and sanders. This includes cutting out or grinding the portion that needs repair, filling it back with 100% weld, and then smoothing it over. The components to be welded include turbine blades, nozzles, combustion parts, blocks, and shrouds.

Work Environment
The work environment is an open-aired, clean shop. The company may relocate within North Houston in the next 5-6 months, but the move will not be far. The working hours are from 5 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with frequent work on Saturdays and some Sundays, resulting in plenty of overtime hours.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
