Apply today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Director of Throughput ensures efficient and effective deployment of nursing initiatives and processes and acts as key interface for cross functional initiatives and responsibilities. **What you will do in this role:** + Evaluate and implement patient flow to ensure maximization of the hospital resources. + Continually evaluate, monitor, and improve the patient flow program effectiveness as it relates to utilization review, resource management, and discharge planning and care coordination. + Establish patient flow goals in coordination with hospital executive management and monitor progress toward the goals through tracking tools such as NATE, ED dashboard and Teletracker. + Coordinate Medical Center Patient Flow responsibilities to ensure all patient flow needs of the Medical Center are met and to ensure similar policies and procedures are in place, as applicable. + Serve as the educational leader to physicians and employees as it relates to utilization review, resource management and patient flow. + Prepare monthly throughput data analysis and reports for executive team on performance metrics, opportunities and successes + Identify gaps in processes, prepare, implement and monitor action plans. + Assist in moderating weekly facility throughput meetings. + Directly supervise transport supervisor and team and ensure team is component, customer focused, action oriented, use good time management, and meet facility and corporate goals around transport per hour, etc. + Prepare and present throughput initiatives in Division ER/Throughput MORs. + Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations and patient transfer process and implement actions for increased throughput. + Demonstrate understanding of HCA’s and “Patients First” safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures. **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred. + Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required. + 1 year of experience in hospital analytics or related area required. + 5 years of experience in hospital operations strongly preferred. + Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. + Nurse Executive-Board Certification (NE-BC) preferred.
