Kforce has a client in Spring, TX that is seeking a Thermal Engineer with tech experience. Responsibilities: * Design engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling based on established principles * Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, fan curves, system power measurements, and acoustics * Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to develop optimal platform design architecture and innovative concepts using the latest technologies based on marketing requirements * Communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution * Lead projects and collaborate with internal and outsourced partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for moderately complex products * Represent the thermal team in all phases of larger and more complex development projects. * Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into thermal design projects through hardware and firmware developments * Lead proof of concept (POC) initiatives with hardware and firmware/software development to validate new technologies for future products * Utilize subject matter expertise to address complex business issues within established guidelines, recommending appropriate alternatives * Work on diverse problems, leading the development of next-generation notebooks, mobile workstations, docking stations, and mobile computing solutions * Act as a team or project leader, facilitating team activities and decision-making processes * Exercise independent judgment within defined policies to identify and select solutions, seeking advice for complex issues when necessary
