**General Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Thermal and Limits Project Engineer (PE) to join our Compute Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and achieving optimal thermal and limits performance for our cutting-edge compute products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet industry-leading thermal and performance standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Define and develop a roadmap for thermal and limits management strategies for compute products, including CPUs, GPUs, and other components.
• Collaborate with design, verification, and process teams to ensure thermal requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Define and review thermal and limits system testing and validation on silicon and system-level platforms.
• Analyze thermal data and feedback recommendations to the design team for improvements.
• Define and review competitive analysis to benchmark our products against industry standards and competitors' offerings. Identify areas for improvement and innovation to maintain a competitive edge.
• Work closely with power and performance teams to optimize thermal and power trade-offs.
• Develop and maintain thermal models and tools to support product development. • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineering teams on thermal-related issues.
• Collaborates with other departments such as product management, marketing, and customer engineering to ensure comprehensive product development and optimization.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in thermal engineering, with a focus on compute products.
• Strong understanding of thermal management principles and techniques.
• Experience with thermal simulation tools and methodologies. • Proficiency in thermal testing and validation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with thermal management for high-performance compute products. • Knowledge of power and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with system-level thermal modeling and simulation.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for thermal management.

**Pay range** **and Other Compensation & Benefits** **:**
$276,300.00 - $414,500.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
