Job Title: Test Technician - Supervisor Pay Grade: M2 Job Description: As a Test Technician-Supervisor, you will lead a team of Test Technicians in the Engineering Operations department. The Technicians in this group are responsible for the setup and execution of tests of powertrain systems, sub-systems and components. This team works closely with Test Engineers who design/plan the tests and various support groups who help facilitate testing (i.e. DataSystems, Electronics Lab, Skilled Trades) In this role, you will be a valuable part of the team by: + Mentoring/Coaching Team + Monitoring Work quality of team members + Contribute to hiring/pay decisions. + Responsible for quality results of the team + Participate in program planning and status update meetings + Propose and execute continuous improvement projects for the department To be successful in this role you will need the following: + Vocational or Technical degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Proficient in oral and written business communication + High level of interpersonal skills + Typically 2+ years in a supervisory role (or equivalent) + Strong mechanical aptitude + Experience working in a laboratory environment + Experience configuring instrumentation/data collection Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Experience supervising technicians in an automotive powertrain testing environment Primary Location: Indianapolis, IN Additional Locations: Allison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
