Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire a Test Technician responsible for testing and validating final assemblies per test procedures to ensure compliance with design specifications and engineering drawings. We provide product quality while maintaining a safe work environment as we work on transformers, switches, inverter cabinets, and related wiring. Here, you will put your electrical skills to excellent use while working with engineers & resolving testing activities! This position will be for 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday 5:30pm – 4:00am. The first couple weeks of training will be on 1st shift which is Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 3:00pm. Must be willing/flexible to work overtime as needed.
2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:30pm – 4am
What your day-to-day will look like:
Inspect, test, and adjust units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements per test procedure. Read and interpret schematics/mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of materials, or reports to determine materials and test requirements. Clean up working areas, testing tools, conduct 6S audits, and safety walks. Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data from relevant sources.To thrive in this role, you have:
Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical with Vocational Certification in a related field preferred Apprenticeship Certification with 2+ years of work experience in a related field. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of environmental health and safety laws and procedures. Knowledge of product, quality standards, and test procedures. Basic knowledge of computer software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel for report completion. Understanding raw materials, production processes, test processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for improving products' practical testing. The base salary range for this position in Alpharetta, GA is $52,400 – 61,500. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
