Test Equipment Design Engineer

Hybrid Position, 2 days/week on-site. Salary range: $140,000 - $200,000.

The Test Equipment Design Engineer will help lead department wide efforts to develop and deploy reliable, robust, and sustainable automated production test solutions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

•\tBachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Scientific field.

•\tMinimum of eight (8) years of work experience in test engineering.

•\tDemonstrable strong understanding of testing principles and philosophies, with a comprehensive understanding of test solution hardware and software development principles, technologies, platforms and tools.

•\tThorough understanding of functional test procedure development and maintenance.

•\tExpertise with National Instruments TestStand / LabWindows CVI / LabVIEW and National Instruments Data Acquisition and Modular Instrumentation, or equivalent environment.

•\tExperience in architecting, developing and integrating electronic test systems featuring modern hardware, software, and instrumentation technologies.

•\tAbility to write standards and documentation around test program software designs.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

•\tMaster’s Degree in an Engineering or Scientific field.

•\tMinimum of fifteen (15) years of work experience in defense and manufacturing test.

•\tUnderstanding Process Capability and Process Capability Measurement (CPK), and skilled in the statistical evaluation of measurement uncertainty.

•\tExperience in bidding, planning, and executing development programs.

•\tDemonstrable project leadership on multi-discipline teams.

•\tDemonstrable executive level engagement and commensurate communication skills

•\tAbility to chair and facilitate structured meetings with tangible outcomes.

Work Environment

The position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off.
