The Test Equipment Coordinator will support automotive engineering research, development, or validation testing through tracking, managing, and coordinating usage of specialized test equipment or instrumentation. This role will also support equipment calibration tracking, compliance with safety practices, and ordering consumable items for the laboratory. This position is located in Dearborn, MI.
As a Test Equipment Coordinator, you will:
Track and manage inventory and assigned location of test equipment and instrumentation assetsPull inventory from storage location, and group into kits according to requestsCheck in and out equipment and instrumentation kits to requestorsTrack and manage equipment calibration and maintenance requestsTrack and order consumable lab items to maintain availability according to test scheduleMaintain records and report usage or status metrics as neededServe as liaison between lab technicians and requestorsEnsure safety protocols are adhered to regarding equipment usage and storageSupport diagnosis and issue resolution as neededTo be considered for as a Test Equipment Coordinator, you will need:
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years’ experience in an automotive environmentGood computer skills and flexibility to learn new skillsGood communication skills, written and verbalGood customer service and organizational skillsBasic knowledge of automotive systemsAbility to learn and follow detailed processesA successful candidate may also have:
Associate’s degree or certification in technical or business field2 years’ experience in an automotive testing environment with exposure to instrumentation, calibrated test equipment, asset tracking or inventory controlExperience with basic automotive electrical accessoriesStrong MS Office skills specifically with Excel, Word, PowerPointStrong communication skills, written and verbalStrong customer service and organizational skillsKnowledge of calibration of measurement equipmentAbility to diagnose issues with asset or inventory trackingOur full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and more.
