As a Test Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Evaluate new test technologies and methods.Determine Design for Test (DFT) specifications and coordinate with engineering staff on new product design.Design, develop, and maintain test strategies for new and existing products that meet corporate objectives.Train production testing staff in function, design, and maintenance of all testing processes on the production floor.Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage and efficiencies.Follow SEL Values.Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.This job might be for you if you have:
A bachelor's in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 2 years experience designing and developing production testsExcellent writing and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in team environmentStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in electronic design, manufacturing and testingSkill in design and construction of test fixturesExperience in writing test procedures and test documentationExperience with operating systems such as LinuxKnowledge of computer architecture and operationExperience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#Experience with using version control systems such as GitCompetitive pay. Pay Range:
Associate Test Engineer, $60,800 – $95,000. Test Engineer, $69,100 - $108,100. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
