The Leidos Spatial Solutions team has an opening for an experienced Test Engineer to provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems. As a Test Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to perform software development to implement scripts, evaluate test results, and feedback loops in a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery Pipeline.

Primary responsibilities include:

Responsible for managing the completion of initiatives or projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas.Reports concerns and technical solutions with internal team members and managementMay brief parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.).Works to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.Develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines.Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, Increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testingLead and collaborate with team members across the program to assess tickets to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance CriteriaCollaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsetsDevelop test validation scripts using program designated languages (ex: Python)Develop automated test cases for continued product release quality.Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained the continuously improved using task management system (JIRA/Confluence) Perform job duties within Commercial cloud development environments

Core Qualifications:

Requires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience: OR additional years of experience in lieu of degreeMust currently possess an active TS security clearanceAbility to test both back end applications processes in addition to front endSignificant experience with scripting languages (ex: Python) to automate tasksSignificant experience in test data/script developmentKnowledge of or direct experience with software performance testing practicesDirect experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadenceSignificant experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS) and DevOps toolsDemonstrated ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development effortsSignificant experience working in an SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment and tempo

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience reviewing outputs and capable of tracking test failures back to code changes that resulted in bugsCapable of review code check-ins to understand the impact of code changes on system functionality and potential applications bugs.Experience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.At least 1 year of experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and git version controlProactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
