Job Title: Test EngineerJob Description
Lead and execute testing strategies for energetic materials, ensuring adherence to OP-5: Ammunition or equivalent safety standards. Manage day-to-day testing operations, laboratory equipment, and personnel with a focus on operational safety, regulatory compliance, and process efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Perform in-depth testing and analysis of energetic systems, chemicals, and formulations to validate performance, quality, and safety.
+ Apply expert knowledge of maintenance techniques and testing procedures relevant to energetic systems and materials.
+ Review and contribute to technical documentation, including technical data packages, standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality production documents, and process documentation.
+ Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices for the handling and testing of energetic materials.
+ Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support development, testing, and troubleshooting initiatives.
Essential Skills
+ Must have experience with energetics.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical materials, or related field).
+ Working knowledge of OP-5 safety regulations or similar standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong understanding of various testing methodologies and maintenance practices for energetics systems and formulations.
+ In-depth knowledge of regulatory and safety standards applicable to energetics testing, development, and manufacturing.
Work Environment
The position requires working onsite for 5 days a week at Indian Head. The role involves using laboratory equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
