Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tPerform various software development duties by using various programming languages to write automation tests that simulates user inputs into various host applications.•\tUtilize the Ranorex Enterprise test automation suite to record and playback tests.•\tLearn different application areas in our ABB measurement devicesto write test procedures in our software test management tool (Smart Bear QA Complete). •\tPerform code reviews with other Developers and maintain software version controls.•\tExecute written test procedures on the different application areas in our ABB flow computers and record pass/fail results.•\tLiving ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently enrolled in one of the following Engineering disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Instrumentation. Information Technology or related field.\tMust have academic experience in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, or Java.\tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
