The Terrain Park Groomer is an essential part in Terrain Park maintenance, Terrain Park and Special Events Construction. Terrain Park Groomers’ efforts focus on the nightly maintenance and building of terrain park features. This position is key to maintaining all terrain park elements to provide a fun and safe environment/experience for our guests. Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities As a Terrain Park Groomer you will: Use your knowledge of snow conditions to help create a great experience on the snow for our guests. Bring your passion for being on the mountain to build and maintain terrain park features to provide safe and challenging features. Perform maintenance to all groom-able take-offs / landings, performing maintenance to the normal terrain that surrounds the features. Responsible for supervising night time hand crew during build projects ensuring they are not in danger during grooming. Assist in digging out and moving jib features. Communicating nightly grooming results and maintain different records and ledgers. Qualifications What we are looking for: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Must be 18 years of age or older. 1-3 years of grooming experience is required. Excellent time management. General understanding of terrain park flow. Join our team and enjoy The Summit Experience. Click here for the full job description Wage and Benefit Info: The wage range for this positions is: from $20 to $25/hr This is a non-benefited role. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
