POSITION SUMMARY:
This Terminal Manager is responsible for the continuous safe and reliable operations of the El Paso Light Product and Asphalt Terminals. This role focuses on driving terminal efficiencies, ensuring compliance with health, environmental, safety, and security objectives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This incumbent leads a team of 19 employees, including 3 direct reports.
The El Paso terminals are critical assets collocated with the El Paso refinery and responsible for safe loading of light products and asphalt for use in the broad area around El Paso, including across the border into Mexico. The successful candidate here will have the opportunity to fully embed Marathon operating discipline, drive team efficiency and develop skills under STTEP, and grow light product throughput via safe and reliable operation of the light products truck rack with a goal of taking it safely to 50,000 bbls per day (or “Safely to 50”).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of personnel engaged in operating and maintaining loading racks, meters, additive systems, vapor control systems, buildings, and terminal grounds maintenance.
Drives operational discipline aligned with our Marathon operating expectations.
Responsible for the day-to-day safe and reliable scheduling of product receipts, and personnel schedules to manage the product receipts and product inventory.
Works in partnership with El Paso Refinery and upholds the terms and conditions stipulated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Maintains safe working conditions throughout the terminal. Promotes safety and environmental consciousness among employees.
Compiles and maintains necessary records and reports.
Keeps informed with government rules and regulations pertaining to terminal operations.
Communicate and partner with local first responders and community representatives.
Communicates, supports, and implements company initiatives and participates on corporate teams as needed.
Maintains working relationships with third-party drivers, Product Supply personnel, customers, Marketing personnel and the general public.
Promotes a foundation of “BEST!” Culture and Terminals Strategic Plan.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
4-10 Years of experience in Terminal Operations or Oil and Gas industry.
High school diploma or GED is required
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
