Posting Summary Rutgers is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant with the Urban Global Public Health Department for the School of Public Health, located in Newark, NJ. The Temporary Research Assistant will work under the supervision of the Associate Dean for the Office of Community Engagement and Public Health Practice. The Assistant will assist the Associate Dean with research projects addressing the mechanisms through which historically and contemporary under resourced populations experience health inequities; engaging in theoretically driven research that seeks to disentangle the effects of different social determinants of health on the outcomes of these populations.

Duties will include: Assist with data management, data analysis, and creation of reports. Assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports, and presentations. Conduct literature reviews and summarize research findings as requested. Provide updates on research progress in an organized and timely manner. Prepare and maintain IRB regulatory documents and IRB submissions. Provide administrative research support to ongoing data collection.
