Purpose

This conference coordinator position will provide logistical support for Texas Executive Education programs to ensure the highest-level experience for our participants and clients. Support a variety of programs being planned by Senior Program Coordinators.

Responsibilities

Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities and ensure implementation of policies and practices. These activities may include but are not limited to, securing hotel and restaurant reservations, arranging for bus transportation and catering, and preparing materials for class use.  Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda. Manage communications with team and outside partners.

Greeting participants and providing directions to guide them during their program.  Prepare paperwork and order materials. Keep updated records and create reports, maintain budget, and track expenditures/transactions.  Help build positive relations within the team and external parties.  Support growth and program development.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated success in a customer service environment and the ability to communicate effective relationship management. Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team-oriented environment. Previous success managing multiple projects, assessing work priorities, and as well as regular ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and recording data. Proficiency with software, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and comfort learning new technologies. Bachelors degree and one year of experience coordinating or administering a program.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications or Business. More than one year of relevant experience. Prior experience with event planning, coordinating short courses, seminars, workshops, etc. Experience with University of Texas policies, procedures, and administrative systems.

Hourly Rate

$21.63

The work schedule is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
