The Assistant Copywriter will be responsible for writing detailed product copy, activating products, and assist the ecommerce team with other added value content on Kirklands.com. This role will interact with the eCommerce, Merchandising and Marketing teams to develop product copy that supports the eCommerce marketing strategy.       

Responsibilities Craft clear and compelling product copy for product detail pagesCreate product names with simplicity and SEO value for customers at top of mindActivate/Deactivate product based on specific rules outlined by eCommerce teamUpdate product copy on existing product detail pages as neededEnsure accurate information is completed for refinements to drive navigation for customersEnsure copywriting incorporates SEO (Search Engine Optimization) best practicesMonitor and respond to product questions and negative reviews through our ratings and reviews platformProvide copywriting support for special projectsAssist eCommerce team with ad hoc projects for Kirklands.comDemonstrates a commitment to Kirkland’s ValuesPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred in English, Advertising, Marketing or related fieldRetail experience would be an asset, but not requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills requiredStrong ability to work in an accurate and organized manner, with strong attention to detailStrong ability to multi-task and work in deadline-driven environmentSelf-starter with high energy and initiative to take projects through to completionFamiliarity with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) best practicesAbility to work at a computer for extended periods of time Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
