Temp HR Generalist, 32 hours, 6-9 months
JOB SUMMARY: Temporary HR Generalist, 6–9-month timeframe, 32 hours a week Monday- Thursday 8-4:30pm The Generalist serves as hands-on support for the Human Resources team. The Generalist has responsibility for day-to-day operational assistance including new hire orientation tasks, recruiting, sourcing, personnel record upkeep, designated projects, bonus tracking, credentialing, and direct support to the HRBPs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Service Excellence promotes a customer-centered culture that emphasizes outstanding service and meets our commitments to the organization. + Provides support to our HRBPS as needed. + Works closely with HRBPs and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. + Partners with the Recruiting team to assist with the Applicant Tracking system, including job requisitions, sourcing, hiring of applicants and compiles weekly reports for the Director of Human Resources. + Oversee agency and temporary staffing. + Verifies all required licenses/certifications/background for agency staff. + Actively participates in bi-weekly new employee orientation. + Assists with exit interviews and 30, 60, 90-day check-ins with employees and provides weekly/ monthly reporting and identifies trends. + Ensures compliance with the Hospital’s laws and regulations. + Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g. Joint Commission, OIG, licensure requirements, etc.); actively participates in Joint Commission survey preparation, DPH/CMS file investigations and other regulatory assessments. + Coordinates with the HR team to provide periodic employee programs (open enrollment, salary planning, Hospital Week events, etc.) and organizes company-sponsored activities and other projects as an active participant of the Human Resources Department. + Participates in Human Resources related projects to support departmental, organizational, and regulatory objectives and requirements. + Actively participates in weekly departmental staff meetings. + Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. + Actively participates on a minimum of two Hospital committees. + Additional responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED + A minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources experience. + A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. + Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines. + Demonstrated outstanding “sense-of urgency.” + Superior customer service skills. + Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and support role. + Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office. + Demonstrated attention to complex details, execution, and timely follow through. + Excellent organizational skills and work proactively and independently. + Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential information. PREFERRED + Successful completion and annual renewal of SHRM-CP/PHR. + Experience working in a hospital/clinical setting. + Knowledge of Position Manager or other ATS. + Masters, Bachelors, or Human Resource Certification from and accredited college. + Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.
