If you're detail-oriented, customer-focused, and ready to join a company that invests in its employees, we want to hear from you to discuss our Teller Supervisor opportunity! **Objective of Position:** The Teller Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Tellers by scheduling staff, assigning work, answering questions, and resolving problems. This role will also assist with complex transactions and sensitive client problems while also administering and explaining policies and procedures. The Teller Supervisor directly manages the teller line of the assigned branch and is the direct manager for Teller and Senior Teller positions. Byline Bank staff members are expected to periodically travel to another branch location to help with staffing coverage. Demonstrated scheduling flexibility is required, along with an openness to new ideas and the ability to identify process improvements. Business dress as outlined in the Byline Bank dress code is mandatory. **Duties and Responsibilities:** Staff Development/Leadership + Leads and identifies coaching opportunities for direct reports. Conducts mid-year and annual performance reviews. + Identifies training needs of Teller staff. + Demonstrates a proficient ability to delegate duties and assignments. + Ensures Tellers properly use and follow guidelines outlined in the BYB Teller Training Manual. + Actively participates in Branch meetings and speaks on various topics. + Assists staff in recognizing and facilitating cross-selling opportunities. + Leads by example by demonstrating excellent customer services skills and adhering to all policies and procedures. + Demonstrates and encourages open communication with staff. + Engages in supervisory practices that motivate staff to reach peak performance. Sales & Service + Coaches staff to achieve assigned production goals. + Tracks and conveys weekly Branch targets and goals to staff. + Demonstrates the ability to work towards meeting customer service and sales expectations/standards. + On occasion, will be involved with the personal delivery of check orders and endorsement stamps to customers. + Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with customers and employees. + Recognizes and facilitates cross-selling opportunities. Operational Responsibilities + Participates in the weekly scheduling of Tellers, gathers and verifies the accuracy of time sheets, completes Time Sheet Recaps for payroll processing, and gains approval for any overtime hours. + Ensures proper coverage for adherence to dual control. + Completes the monthly branch certification to recap audits, teller differences and Teller Line operational duties in a timely and accurate manner. + Maintains ample levels of supplies and utilizes the proper order forms when requisitioning supplies. + Ensures that Tellers balance out at drawer limits daily per Bank policy. + Ensures that all bank policies pertaining to monies and balancing are strictly and continually adhered to. + Establishes clear and on-going communication with management. + Ensures adherence to guidelines of the BYB Branch “Survival Guide” + All other duties as assigned. _Note: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time._ **Qualifications:** + High School Degree or GED required. + 1+ years of Teller experience is required. Experience as a Senior Teller preferred. + 1+ years of supervisory experience is required. + Excellent customer service and oral communication skills. + Personal Banking experience (opening and servicing of customer accounts) is a plus + Must be able to lift 30 pounds. + Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish/English or Polish/English preferred for select locations. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Previous retail experience preferred. **Physical Demands/Work Environment:** Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. **Compensation & Benefits:** Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels. The anticipated hourly range for the position is $20.91 to $26.20. In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs.
