**Position Purpose:**
+ Telephone Operator monitors all incoming and outgoing telecommunications activities regarding hospital wide communication efforts. First responder to Safety, life support and critical operational systems including but not limited to: traumas, heart teams, code blues, generator alarms, medical gas alarms, fire system activation, medical emergency assistance, security assistance, and emergency response situations. Responsible for the knowledge and ability to react instantaneously to all emergencies. Acts as communication for Safety/Security and Facilities Services.
+ Location: Mount Carmel Grove City - 5300 N Meadows Dr, Grove City, OH 43123
+ Hours of office: 4:00p - 8:00p – four hours, four days a week, one day every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
+ Training: Week one 1st shift training 8:00a – 12:00p (Monday through Friday), other training will be during working hours
**What You Will Do:**
+ Answering incoming calls – through computer system
+ Make calls and receive calls
+ Communicate through radio system
+ Call codes over PA system
+ Answer and transfer calls appropriately
+ SPOK operating system
+ EPIC usage
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Experience: Minimum of four-years experience as a telephone operator preferred. Experience in a hospital setting with multi-line switchboard preferred
