The Telemetry Monitor Technician (TMT) is responsible for: + Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs in real-time using advanced telemetry systems. + Identify and interpret rhythm patterns, document, and report abnormalities to RN. + Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely interventions. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A TELEMETRY MONITOR TECH? EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: + A high school diploma or equivalent is required. + Previous experience with nursing unit operations and medical terminology is required. + Previous experience as an EKG Technician, Monitor Technician or direct patient caregiver is required. + The candidate will be required to successfully complete a critical care program for rhythm analysis. This includes how to interface with the central station monitor and arrhythmia detection system. As well as detecting and documenting normality’s and abnormalities and pass the cardiac rhythm exam with an 85% or greater score and identifies all lethal rhythms. + Uses effective communication to communicate critical changes to the healthcare team. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: + Ability to push/pull, lift/move 35 lbs. + Perform manual tasks like typing and filing. + Mobility to sit, squat, stand, and walk as needed. + Comprehend and communicate in English. Salary Range: $17.46-25.32 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent
