The opportunity
You will be responsible for the application support and maintenance of huge Enterprise application Data Management Processing. You will be responsible for monitoring the jobs and processes, participate Data processing and Migration activities, Running SQL queries, Mainframe Job abends, answering and resolving queries from business users as an when required.
You will be responsible to develop relationships across the business to understand the end-to-end application flow, provide proactive and creative suggestions for improving the application resiliency and capability
Your key responsibilities
Application Support, Trouble Shooting Issues and ensuring BAU activities Job and Process Monitoring, Identifying the root case for failures and fixing the same Coordinating and communication with Stake holders at different level when an issue arises Performing Application Maintenance and Enhancements Participating in Various application migration and upgrade activities Resolving Business users queries and issues.
Skills and attributes for success
Experience in IBM Mainframes Experience in COBOL, DB2, JCL, Service now, Job scheduling Experience in doing Application Development & maintenance and doing L2/L3 Support. Experience in monitoring SQL performance and performance improvements. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Experience in working for large Financial Services clients Exposure to various job and process monitoring tools Willingness to work in shifts as and when needed
What we look for
Experience in working in IBM Mainframes in batch processing Experience in Doing Application Development & maintenance work & L2/L3 support. Experience in working for large Financial Services clients Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills and Attention to detail. Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices. Excellent business communication skills. Have exposure to working in shifts and on-call support. Has successfully demonstrated domain of most skills and technologies during a large number of relevant projects
