The Sales and Research Production Management team at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for supporting proprietary and external technology platforms powering the Sales and Research business along with its user base of sales people and research analysts. The team supports a diverse array of modern platforms encompassing sales-trader workflow execution across multiple asset classes, pricing and analytics, award-winning Research production, publication and distribution to numerous corporate and institutional clients, revenue reporting and Client-Relationship management.
As a Technology Support III team member in Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB) Technology - Markets Technology team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.
Job responsibilities
Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure Regular engagement with the sales desk, product owners, software engineers and other stakeholders to resolve day-to-day issues impacting the application stack - including being first point of contact for Technology and Business across the full spectrum of production management responsibilities Work closely with the Software Engineering and Product team to identify issue trends, drive resolutions and stability enhancements of the applications evolving the support to meet these needs.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Formal training or certification on technical support concepts and 3+ years applied experience troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques. Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework Experience supporting FICC and/or Equity sales and trading environments covering algorithmic trading, order routing, low-latency trading and exchange connectivity with a working knowledge of business flows and terminologyPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting. Working understanding of public cloud Experience or knowledge of working in a DevOps or SRE model Knowledge of development tools such as Jenkins, Git, BitBucket
