Position Number: 008015 Department: Office of OneIT (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides second-tier technology support for university constituents. This position serves as a technical consultant on academic and research projects for applications, operating systems, hardware, networking, and information security. This position is responsible for the routine and non-routine maintenance and support of desktop, laptop, and tablet computer systems, including software and hardware. This position supports the hardware, software, and research computing needs of the faculty. + Provide excellent customer service + Provide troubleshooting expertise for hardware and software + Image computers: desktops, laptops, tablets + Provide consulting services for academic and administrative technology needs + Work as a team, sharing information and ideas + Work on special projects + Maintain advanced level expertise in common and specialized computing technology, hardware, software, systems, and applications Minimum Experience / Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience Preferred Education Skills and Experience: + Experience with SCCM , JAMF , or both as tools for software maintenance. Familiarity with Apple and Microsoft environments + Previous experience in a higher education or K-12 setting. Experience designing and implementing technology within teaching spaces, including computer classrooms. + Graduation from a four-year college or university and two and one-half years of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role
