Responsibilities

As a Technology Design Engineer, you will work within the Kier Design Service team, contributing to, completing, and if necessary, managing highways technology design packages across various portfolios.

 

Your day to day will include:

Contribute, complete and if necessary manage a full technology design package output in line with client requirements  against defined governance and assurance frameworks, processes and procedures Proactively highlight issues at an early stage, allowing Technology Design and Engineering to recommend timely mitigations to facilitate design that are right first time Assisting in the production of intelligent technology design solutions and the production of 2D and 3D outputs Provide continuous design assurance throughout the design life-cycle Provide specialist support for through -life design enhancement  such as refit, refurbishment, or increased capability

 

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Technology Design Engineer is great for you if:

Degree or equivalent qualification within a technology engineering discipline e.g., communications, electronic, electrical engineering Extensive industry knowledge, experience and understanding essential; specifically relating to Highways Technology Infrastructure, Highways England, Key Stakeholders and associated contract Experience and a proven track record of successful service delivery, operational design, and delivery of Highways Technology Infrastructure Projects; with knowledge of operational maintenance, construction and site experience being essential Full UK driving licence and ability to travel/overnight stays when required
