Job Title: Technology Application Team Leader
Reports to: Application Supervisor

Summary:

The Technology Application Team Leader is responsible for leading the operation, support, configuration, and evolution of various oil and gas (O&G) technology applications. This role supports business lines and supervisors in managing data governance, IT application architecture, vendor coordination, and project delivery to enhance digital transformation in upstream operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support a range of technology applications used in reservoir and production engineering, analytics, and operations.

Lead data governance, data architecture, and centralized data repository initiatives.

Facilitate digital transformation through technology application integration.

Support application planning, development, implementation, vendor coordination, and performance evaluations.

Assist with contract management, licensing, procurement, and training.

Oversee lifecycle management, configuration, and capacity planning for applications.

Collaborate with departments to meet IT and operational performance goals.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in O&G technology application operations and support.

Expertise in several major industry applications (e.g., engineering, analytics, GIS, etc.).

Strong team leadership and project coordination experience.

Knowledge of IT architecture, planning, and solution design.

Deep understanding of upstream O&G digitalization and applications.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience across multiple IT technical areas and O&G applications.

Project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2).

Knowledge of IT and operational technology (OT) infrastructure.

Familiarity with ITIL practices and frameworks.

Programming and application development experience.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
