Job Summary

Uses experience to execute more complex experiments, investigations and work tasks, anticipating issues; in addition, audits other colleagues' work to ensure completion of routine tasks to accomplish project/program objectives; makes judgement on validity of data. Coordination of data, sample and information exchange within team; prioritizes multiple assignments more independently; solves lab or experimental problems independently.

Scientific and Engineering Methodologies: •Understands and utilizes a diverse set of equipment, tools apparatus and, as appropriate, troubleshoots. •Identifies key technical roadblocks, initiates actions or advises supervision. •Contributes ideas to improved process and trial designs. Business, Competitor, Market and Customer Expertise and Impact •Has an understanding of the effectiveness of MT and Process R&D team alignment with business goals. •Shows awareness of the need to protect competitive advantage. Intellectual Property and Documentation: •Uses IFF's IP processes for creating and protecting value from proprietary knowledge. •Thoroughly documents unexpected results according to guidelines. •Contributes on Research Reports, Invention Disclosures and/or Patent applications. Communication: •Maintains clear communication within project teams and other work groups. Collaborative Leadership: •Interacts with peers and support personnel to achieve objectives outside own expertise. •Starts to being part of a network with technical experts at the same level.
