ABOUT THE ROLE

This permanent role offers a flexible, even-time sportsman’s roster, DIDO (Drive In, Drive Out) from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, conveniently located just 15 minutes from Collie and 45 minutes from Bunbury.

As a Maintenance Fabricator Technician, you will play an essential role in performing safe maintenance on equipment, following 1SAP processes and work instructions under the guidance of your Supervisor or Superintendent. Your work will directly contribute to minimizing costs, maximizing production, and enhancing safety and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

Collaborating with the Supervisor or Superintendent to confirm work orders, scope, and allocate resources for efficient completion. Working with the execution, engineering, and planning teams to ensure up-to-date, effective, and safe maintenance practices. Adhering to 1SAP systems for work execution and ensuring accurate transactional data capture. Supporting root cause analysis and resolving issues to improve equipment reliability.

 

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

Some experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance (minimum of 1-3 months). Knowledge of 1SAP data entry, Work Order processing, and warehouse functions (desirable). The ability to engage with a small group of internal stakeholders on an individual contributor and supervisory level.

Qualifications:

Trade qualification in Fabrication or a National Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical (Fabrication). A current C & HR Class driver’s license is desirable. High Risk Work Licenses for forklift, elevated work platform, basic rigging, and accredited Working at Height training. Confined space and CN Crane tickets are desirable. Fluency in English.
