The preparator will also have other duties in support of the smooth running of the Institute, maintenance of collections, curation, outreach and fieldwork.Brief DescriptionMinimum Requirements:
Matric
Existing preparation experience will be advantageous

Excellent attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills
Must work as part of a team
Integrity, reliability and dependability
Key Performance Areas
To ensure responsible excavation, preparation and subsequent curation of valuable fossil and modern material collected in the field.
Maintenance of field and preparation equipment.
To be willing to learn other techniques such as the preparation of moulds and casts for the casting of original specimens for research and exhibition, fieldwork, palynology and thin sectioning.
Any other technical task required by the Director to be undertaken at the ESI.
