Job Description

Summary
The purpose of this job is to conduct blending operations and provide equipment maintenance at Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) blending plants.


Essential Functions


1. Responsible for daily DEF blending process and collection and submission of product samples
2. Perform light plant maintenance (e.g., greasing equipment, monitoring the water system, replacing equipment filters and resin beds, sweeping) to prevent equipment failure
3. Collaborate daily with the DEF Rail Movements Specialist to schedule rail car deliveries of DEF concentrate to plant(s)
4. Troubleshoot, with guidance from the Assistant Manager, equipment repairs for technical and mechanical issues; maintain inventory of replacement parts
5. Ensure all safety and operational procedures are followed at the blending site(s)
6. Recommend improvements for DEF plant operations and assist in implementing any operational changes at direction of manager
7. Travel to other DEF sites to conduct blending operations as needed
8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
10. Complete other duties as assigned

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certificate requiredValid state driver’s license and positive driving history requiredMinimum two years’ technical maintenance experience preferred

Specialized Knowledge

Basic Microsoft office skills preferredGood technical skills and understanding of flow measurement equipment and systemsAbility to use hand tools to replace or repair pumps and other heavy equipment
