Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the Import/Export industry, located in Kent, Washington, United States. We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our team. Your role will involve creating technical instructions for equipment assembly which will be distributed to customers upon purchase. A comprehensive understanding of engineering and assembly writing is crucial to this role.
Responsibilities:
• Develop clear, concise technical instructions for equipment assembly
• Ensure that all written documents are suitable for customer use
• Utilize Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe RoboHelp for document creation and management
• Implement AB Testing to ensure the effectiveness of written instructions
• Work within an Agile Scrum framework to ensure timely completion of projects
• Adhere to AP Style guidelines in all written communication
• Conduct auditing of written materials for accuracy and clarity
• Have a good understanding of computer hardware to better create assembly instructions
• Utilize your technical writing skills to produce high-quality, user-friendly documents
• Apply your engineering knowledge to write effective assembly instructions. Requirements • Possess strong expertise in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe RoboHelp.
• Proven experience in AB Testing and Agile Scrum environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AP Style writing.
• Capability to perform auditing tasks effectively.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of Computer Hardware.
• Exceptional skills in Technical Writing, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Engineering background or knowledge is highly desirable.
• Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
