Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer for a 6-12 month contract to assist with several projects. As the team currently lacks technical writers, we need at least one person to lead the team in developing procedures, processes, and a style guide for manuals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have experience in managing projects to ensure consistency.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the development of procedures, processes, and style guides for manuals.
+ Ensure consistency in look and feel, language, and voice of the content.
+ Edit and review technical documentation to maintain a unified style.
+ Work with procedural templates and convert Word documents to ServiceNow.
+ Develop and implement style guides.
+ Collaborate across teams and roles to bring clarity and improve processes.
Skills & Qualifications
+ Extensive experience in technical writing.
+ Experience in the banking or financial sector is preferred.
+ Knowledge of the Amaze tool for formatting within ServiceNow.
+ Experience in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Experience in designing and developing processes and procedures for technical writers.
+ Strong editing skills to ensure consistency in documentation.
+ Ability to develop and implement style guides.
+ Experience with ServiceNow and procedural templates.
+ Familiarity with legal, compliance, and regulatory writing.
Work Environment
+ The role requires someone who is not afraid to work with ambiguity and is agile in facing challenges.
+ A strong work ethic and a desire for continuous improvement are essential.
+ The candidate should be willing to speak up and help bring clarity to the team.
+ The work hours are from 8-5, with potential flexibility to work remotely a few days a week after training.
There is plenty of work to be done, and contractors have the opportunity to transition to permanent positions after 12 months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00
