**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Technical Writer** to support the Thermal Monitoring Surveillance System for the U.S. Navy. **Note: This is a fully remote position.** Job Responsibilities: + The Technical Writer will be responsible for writing, updating and maintaining engineering, testing, cybersecurity, and other programmatic documents. + The Technical Writer will be responsible for drafting user-friendly content that meets the needs of the intended audience. + The Technical Writer will be responsible for maintaining records of those documents in the Configuration Management database tool. **Qualifications** **EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS** + Bachelor’s degree and zero (0) years' experience; Four (4) years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree. + Write and edit technical and complex ideas and procedures. + Work with subject matter experts, observing functional tasks to determine process steps. + Possess working knowledge of current MIL-STD regulations for document formatting and grammatical conventions. + Skilled knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. + Working knowledge of SharePoint and version control. + Ability to organize materials, write an outline, and then use it to develop comprehensive, well-written documents. + Knowledge of document control and workflows. + Lifecycle knowledge. **CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS** + Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required. Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
