The Technical Writer – Flight Manual Specialist will assist the Technical Publications Team in creating deliverables supporting Pipistrel’s aircraft owners, operators and services, with a primary focus on Flight Manual authoring. As a member of the design organization (EASA-DO), this role requires researching and generating information and conveying it clearly and comprehensively through various formats (printed, electronic, and audio-visual) in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
Job responsibilities
• creating and editing flight-related documents, such as POHs (Pilot’s operating handbook)/Flight manuals and related supplements. Flexibility to create also other type of documentation if necessary.
• generating/managing design data for end-user purposes in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements
• documenting procedures in production and creating/writing procedure instructions using the data retrieved
• translating technical information into clear, readable documents for technical and/or nontechnical end users
• working/cooperating with engineers to develop images, drawings, diagrams, charts and technical data needed for supplemental documentation
• working with structured and non-structured tech. pub. authoring tools, photovideo editing tools and CAD tools
• reviewing the work of others and providing constructive feedback
• providing guidance to teammates and helping them reach deadlines/goals
• release/distribution of prepared documentation
• proactive involvement in the improvement of internal flows, procedures, methods and tools
What do we expect from the candidate?
• an education in a technical/engineering field
• at least 5 years' experience in a similar or equivalent function
• experience in aviation industry
• experience with flight manuals
• a pilot licence (desirable)
• excellent english technical writing skills
• excellent attention to details and highly methodical approach to internal workflow procedures
• deadline-driven and goal-oriented mindset
• above-average organizational skills
• superb communication and interpersonal skills
• knowledge of Technical English or Simplified Technical English
• the ability to interpret and convey technical concepts quickly
• a working knowledge of structured content authoring tools – XML based (desirable)
• understanding of DITA/S1000D/DocBook specifications (desirable)
• understanding of ATA 100/ATA 2200, GAMA and other general aviation-relevant specifications (desirable)
• experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• experience with Adobe suite software (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc)
• any knowledge or experience related to aircraft maintenance (desirable) and aviation/certification-related regulations

Tehnični pisec – specialist za priročnike za letenje bo pomagal ekipi za tehnične publikacije pri ustvarjanju gradiv, ki podpirajo lastnike, operaterje in storitve letal Pipistrel, s primarnim poudarkom na ustvarjanju priročnikov za letenje. Kot član organizacije za načrtovanje (EASA-DO), boste morali raziskovati in pridobivati informacije ter jih jasno in celovito posredovati v različnih formatih/medijih (tiskanih, elektronskih in avdiovizualnih) v skladu z veljavnimi predpisi in zahtevami.
Delovne obveznosti
• ustvarjanje in urejanje dokumentov, povezanih z letenjem, kot so POH-ji (Pilot’s operating handbook)/Priročniki za letenje in pripadajočih dodatkov. Fleksibilnost pri ustvarjanju drugih vrst dokumentacije, če je potrebno
• generiranje/upravljanje/pretvarjanje inženirskih podatkov v oblike primerne za končne uporabnike v skladu z veljavnimi predpisi in zahtevami
• dokumentiranje postopkov v proizvodnji in ustvarjanje/pisanje postopkovnih navodil z uporabo pridobljenih informacij
• prevajanje tehničnih informacij v jasne, berljive dokumente za tehnične in/ali netehnične končne uporabnike
• sodelovanje z inženirji pri razvijanju slik, risb, diagramov, grafikonov in tehničnih podatkov, potrebnih za dopolnilno dokumentacijo
• delo z orodji za strukturirano in nestrukturirano avtorstvo tehničnih publikacij, orodji za urejanje fotografij in videoposnetkov ter CAD orodji
• pregledovanje dela drugih in zagotavljanje konstruktivnih povratnih informacij
• nudenje smernic članom ekipe in pomoč pri doseganju rokov/ciljev
• izdaja/distribucija pripravljene dokumentaciie

• vsaj 5 let izkušenj na podobnem ali enakovrednem delovnem mestu
• izkušnje v letalski industriji

• odlične tehnične pisne sposobnosti v angleščini
