Technical & Workshop Support Manager
Role Summary

Scania Export Markets Asia (SEMA) is currently being established as a Business Unit within the Commercial Operations AOR region to drive the Scania business in the markets in the region with appointed independent distributors and dealers – including Indonesia, The Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei and New Caledonia – and to realize the full growth potential in these markets.


We are now looking for a driven Technical & Workshop Support Manager with strong informal leadership and communication skills to help drive this growth journey.


About the team
SEMA will be a team of approximately 10 people dedicated to working with the assigned markets and will be based across different countries in the region. The current team of six SEMA employees represents five different nationalities and brings experience from vastly different backgrounds, markets and parts of the business within the company.


About the role
As a Technical & Workshop Support Manager you will join the SEMA team and be responsible for working together with your colleagues at SEMA and the independent distributors and dealers in The Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei and New Caledonia to develop the Scania technical and workshop support processes. You will hence have a very important contribution to securing end-customer satisfaction and thereby to enable the business growth. A key to success in the role will be your ability to communicate and build relations and trust across cultures in order to gain full leverage of your technical knowledge.


The geographical base of the position is flexible and decided on a case-by-case basis, but preferably in Southeast Asia. 
 

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities

In close collaboration with SEMA colleagues and the independent distributors and dealers formulate and execute strategic activities to develop the Scania technical and workshop support processes in the markets. Coach the independent distributors and dealers in implementing, using and following Scania’s standards, processes, systems and methods. Identify and address competence development opportunities within the technical and workshop support organizations of the independent distributors and dealers. Connect the independent distributors and dealers with relevant stakeholders and support functions within Scania.


Your profile

Solid knowledge of and experience in Scania’s technical and workshop support processes (technical training, field quality, DOS, warranty, campaigns…). Strong informal leadership and coaching ability together with a high drive to get things done. Strong ability to communicate and build relations and trust across cultures combined with a patient attitude. Previous experience of working in an emerging market. A wide network within Scania. Fluent in written and spoken English.
