Reference PE002973 Location Gauteng, Centurion Salary Interval Monthly Package None-negotiable Description Our client in the Property Services Industry based in Centurion, Gauteng is currently looking to employ a Technical Trainer - French Speaking.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a technician after qualification (post apprenticeship). A masters certification from any brand would be highly advantageous. Must be French Speaking. Experienced Automotive Trainer would be advantageous. Other in-dealer experience would be advantageous. Accreditation as a qualified assessor and moderator or demonstrated progress is required. Experience with course development and training principles essential. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is important. Travel, including outside normal working hours and beyond South African borders, will be required. Ensure that all diagnostic equipment and computers are updated.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Training Content Design / Launches / Projects:
Collaborate with the Instructional Design Team to compile training materials for designated programmes. Design, customise, or refresh training material as directed by the company. Develop training content in formats such as: Face-to-Face Training: Facilitator Guide, Participant Guide, PowerPoint, Assessments. Virtual Classroom Training: Facilitator Guide, Participant Guide, PowerPoint Guide, Assessments. Web-Based Training: Content as required. Ensure all content aligns with competence-based learning outcomes and complies with versioning rules for cataloguing. Align training materials, examinations, and assessments with organisational and statutory policies, including health and safety. Assist the Technical Training Lead with: Scoping and defining learner paths for functional roles. Planning new product introduction training by model. Achieving an 80:20 blended learning strategy (20% Theoretical, 80% Practical). Training Delivery:
Deliver training as per schedules and at venues or locations directed by the Technical Training Lead. Undertake content development and revision when training delivery is not required. Ensure proper use of training information, tools, and materials provided by the Academy. Deliver ad hoc training and travel for training delivery within South Africa and Sub-Saharan markets as required. Conduct training for new product launches and ensure compliance attendance for target audiences as defined by brands. Evaluation:
Support the training evaluation process according to Kirkpatrick Levels 1–5, aligned with specific training outcomes. Manage course evaluations, address underperformance, and report poor outcomes to the Non-Tech Training Lead. Manage examination/assessment processes and resources according to company policy. Create relevant questionnaires and test delegates to ensure competence on course content. Use polls and online feedback during virtual sessions to evaluate session effectiveness. Audits and Housekeeping:
Maintain OEM training standards and support Academy audits. Ensure general housekeeping and maintenance of training vehicles, classrooms, practical workspaces, and equipment. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain professional relationships with Dealer Personnel, Suppliers/Service Providers, and preferred Training Bodies. Act on evaluations and feedback from internal and external stakeholders. Foster positive working relationships with all customers and service providers. Process Management:
Update processes annually to align with the internal Quality Management System. Implement continuous improvements to enhance business operations, focusing on process efficiency.
