Job Description

This role manages a team in a claims environment – death; funeral and similar claims  - with some individual deliveries and is individually accountable for achieving results through others, over periods of 3 months to one year.  The candidate must be experienced in group risk and/ or end to end death claims processes.

Key areas:

Responsible for the management of a unit of senior administrators in the CSOA Job Family in support of business objectivesNormal functions pertaining to management (people, production, customer and finance) apply, but in a technical environment.Team size would vary but would mostly be between 15 and 20 staff.Also responsible for technical deliveries themselves (high level of technical knowledge in related field to their own staff) in terms of group risk; claims; payment; systems; processes; escalations and queriesThe candidate must be qualified to deal with complex claims and queriesTechnical skills would relate to a field within the CSOA ambit, i.e. product / process / MIS etc - specifically related to claimsCarries responsibility to deliver on operational projects within field of expertiseRequired to provide input into claims processing automation projectsThe candidate must demonstrate skill in dealing with customers and customer complaints, including appeal and dispute processesThe candidate must be able to build strong interpersonal relationship with key internal and external stakeholdersThe candidate must understand and apply agile ways of workingThe candidate should demonstrate experience in improving processes; systems and ways of work.
