Technical Support Specialist
Start: ASAP
Location: Pittsford, NY - work is hybrid so candidates MUST be local
Contract Length: 6 months to start, likely to extend
Pay: $30.00 - $37.21 per hour (depending on experience)
Seeking a highly organized and technically proficient support professional to assist our Technical Support department. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to synthesize complex discussions into clear, actionable summaries. The contractor will attend a variety of technical and business meetings, providing structured recaps, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-ups are well-documented.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend and actively participate in product review meetings, technical discussions, and cross-functional meetings across the organization. Provide daily summaries of meetings, capturing key decisions, technical discussions, and action items. Maintain organization and clarity in documentation, ensuring stakeholders have the necessary information to move forward. Track action items and follow-ups, proactively ensuring accountability and progress. Prepare and conduct debrief review meetings frequently. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Technical background with experience in access control, security systems, or a related technology field.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple meetings and priorities.
Excellent written communication skills to provide clear and concise meeting recaps and action plans.
Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and summarize discussions in a structured way.
Experience with collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote for documentation and follow-ups.
Prior experience in technical support, product review meetings, or project coordination is highly preferred.
#1 Technical Aptitude: i would need someone to have a strong understanding of technical concepts in access control/security etc. Overall ability to grasp and summarize technical discussions would be critical.
#2 Documentation: Someone that has excellent note taking so they can provide clear and concise recaps and any decisions or action items. Maybe someone familiar with Smartsheet where milestones and projects can be outlined etc.
#3 Engaging: they would need to be comfortable working across various teams (TSG, engineering, sustaining, product management, customer service, etc.) and be able to communicate discussions and decisions
#4 Time Management: Ability to track multiple meetings and different action items and make sure that any follow-ups are completed.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.21 per hour
