Technical Supervisor Job ID 215754 Posted 16-Apr-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Building Management, Engineering/Maintenance, Facilities Management Location(s) King of Prussia - Pennsylvania - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Technical Supervisor you will supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of a central utility plant, ensuring the reliable and efficient delivery of crucial services like heating, cooling, and steam generation to a building complex or campus. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. **What You’ll Do:** Act as liaison with technical business leaders, facilities managers, and other internal and external clients to forecast workload demand and work. Lead, plan, coordinate, schedule, and supervise the workload, deadlines, and day-to-day activities of the support team members to ensure delivery of services. Supervise the day-to-day operation of the plant, monitoring equipment performance, identifying issues, and ensuring efficient energy delivery Directly supervise a team of operators, technicians, and utility plant staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluation Plan and manage maintenance activities, including maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades, to ensure operation and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and equipment performance. Work with business leaders to resolve priorities. Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives. Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function. Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipate potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view. Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies. Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence. **What You’ll Need:** + High School Diploma, GED, or proven experience with 5-8 years of HVAC and Boiler operation experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred. + At least two years of experience in a supervisory role within the facility maintenance department. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions. + Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive attitude. + Highly sophisticated math skills.
