**We’re looking for a talented and passionate Technical Specialist to join our e-Trading Development team within our Canadian offices. The successful candidate will help drive transformation projects of our electronic trading environment across Development / UAT and Production. The role requires a combination for DevOps, Networks and System Administration.**
**Citi’s Fixed Income Interest Rates and CVA technology group supports the front office technology operations of one of the world’s largest capital market businesses. Electronic trading is a significant part of the Rates business. There are 3 key areas: Futures, Broker & Customer Markets and Automation / STP is key to grow business volumes and reduce costs. Our e-trading team therefore plays an essential role and works closely with the business to maintain and grow our competitive advantage.**

**The platform team collaborates closely with partner technology teams such as development, operations, production support, as well as the external markets/exchanges. The primary goal and focus of the team is to update and support the platform for which our entire set of Rates software applications run on.**
**The role requires an understanding of SDLC practices, management of infrastructure deployments and Internal/External Market network connectivity., as well as providing the ability to gain exposure to the fast-paced world of front office trading and finance.**
**Job Responsibilities:**
**Partner with multiple teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals**
**Identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.**
**Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards**
**Provide advanced knowledge of applications to ensure design adheres to the overall architecture**
**Utilize knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of changes into a UAT & Production Env.**
**Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals**
**Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions**
**Appropriately assess risk when decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.**
**Requirements Analysis, Capture & Development of the e-trading platform**
**Business & Technical Requirements - Capture / Analysis**
**Development of the e-trading infrastructure platform**
**Implementing Internal / External Network Connectivity Changes from a project management level.**
**Service Now – Creating / Coordinating Incidents, Requests & Changes.**
**Coordination Testing / UAT via QA & Application teams**
**Collaboration with the global business and development teams**
**Troubleshoot Infrastructure performance, scalability & connectivity issues**
**Support 3rd Party Vender Applications – Market API’s / ION MarketView Platform**
**Third line support of the platform**
**Project manage Market exchange connectivity with internal / external tech teams.**
**Education:**
**Bachelor’s degree Computer Science/Engineering or related field**
**Technical Skills Required:**
**Understanding of Internal & External Network Connectivity – (Gateways, Firewall & Routers)**
**Relational database concepts and knowledge in SQL**
**RedHat O/S Admin Experience via command line**
**Infrastructure decommissioning / builds**
**Strong problem-solving skills**
**Unix scripting**
**Non Technical Skills Required:**
**Excellent communication skills**
**Experience of working with Global partners**
**Passion for technology.**
**Self-motivated and a desire to progress your career**
**Flexible and adaptive, team player**
**Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills**
**Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize work and well organized**

**Knowledge of any financial products especially the Rates markets is desirable**
**Experience of working with large financial software systems**
