Job DescriptionTo plan, design and build an Information Technology (IT) infrastructure architecture usually at an enterprise level to meet business requirements
Key Responsibilities
Perform 1st and 2nd standby duties – (Includes weekends)Perform daily system checksResolve allocated tickets within SLAImplement and maintain monitoring and alerting systemsConduct regular security checksResearch and implement improvements for platform functionality, performance, and stabilityProvide user support for the platformPlan for capacity needsRequired to be on standby for issues outside business hours and weekendsWork on various projectsOptimize performanceImplement and maintain data security measures. Technical Skills
Proficiency with Big Data platforms (Vanilla Hadoop, Cloudera, or Hortonworks)Advanced SQL query skillsExperience with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.)- Hands-on experience in warehousing and transaction system design- Strong understanding of Apache Spark Architecture and YARN (building Spark applications is not required)- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (AWS, Azure)- Expertise in performance tuning- Capacity planning skills- Bash scripting and Linux OS experience- Basic programming knowledge and terminology- Access management experience with Ranger and AD- Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously- Strong troubleshooting skillsThe Character We're Looking For
