We’re looking for an experienced Technical Specialist in our new electronics and embedded systems laboratory at our headquarters in Lisle, IL. This Technical Specialist will work on electrical and electronics hardware, electrical vehicle powertrain, advanced systems architecture and reliability and quality.

Responsibilities Assist engineering teams with electronics testingOrganizing and scheduling work requestsMaintenance of equipment, including inventory management and calibration. Responsible for identifying equipment and materials needed for testingBuilding small prototypes including cables, small circuit assemblies and adept with working with printed circuit boards, associated componentsFamiliar with how to set up and run electronics lab equipment; examples include Thermotron programing, transient-tester setup, spectrum analyzer configurationsDevelop test bench mockups Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies

OR

Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies

OR

PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 5 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies or specialized technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
