Position Summary:The Technical Sales Specialist, Chromatography Consumables, South-West is an outstanding and ambitious commercial role within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This technology-focused position is uniquely positioned to boost and support the sales of our world-class chromatography consumables and supplies within the CMD. The primary goal is to improve our business potential through sustained revenue growth of our consumables portfolio. This role is pivotal in elevating customer interest and driving Thermo Fisher Scientific’s value proposition from sample to knowledge.
Key responsibilities:Selling Agility
Identifies and prioritizes new client opportunities, strictly focusing on growing the business for chromatography consumables and coordinating actions to improve market penetration.Proactively develops and drives sales strategies across the portfolio.Cultivates deep understanding of account organizations, encouraging trust and valued relationships with major decision-makers and ensuring all parties' interests are maintained.Supports Account Managers with negotiation strategy development and execution, acting as a trusted advisor and bringing in technical experts as needed.Drives GrowthShares the voice of the customer with the Business Unit and supports technical collaboration visits to manufacturing and R&D sites.Manages the sales funnel and forecast in collaboration with country leads and sales teams, consulting on customer forecasts and developing strategies to achieve sales goals and metrics.Uses sales tools to manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts accurately and timely.Maintains awareness of competitor and industry activities and introduces new products and services as available.LeadershipLeads collaboration with sales, field application, lab application, and IES specialists, providing technical expertise.Aims for close working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) to promote CMD products and solutions.Represents CMD at seminars and workshops, improving technical knowledge and positively representing Thermo Fisher Scientific.Provides training and mentoring to country sales teams, improving their confidence in selling and competitive positioning.Exchanges account information and sales leads within and across commercial divisions.Works authoritatively in a team selling environment to solve customer challenges.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Proven track record of sales experience in analytical/relevant instrument markets, handling complex, high-value accounts.Masters’ degree in science or equivalent work experience.Strong market knowledge and business insight of industry sector, markets, and key trends.Experience in conducting seminars and presentations.Commercial mentality, driven by the desire to win new business with steadfast pursuit of opportunities.Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication, and presentation skills; ability to meet deadlines.Proficient in English and French (additional knowledge of Italian is a plus).Demonstrated commercial excellence in a matrix environment.Proficiency in MS Office, CRM.Ability to explain and sell the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s product portfolio.Willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel.Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
