What We’re Offering
Work from home 80% of time will be traveling within the Metropolitian Chicago, IL area.Base Compensation Range: $69900-$87500. Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job PurposeEnerSys is looking for a driven and results-oriented Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for selling the trusted products and services our customers rely on. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, relationship building, and deal closing. We seek a motivated go-getter with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to effectively showcase our offerings to drive business growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consistently exceed sales quotas by retaining, growing, and prospecting clients within an assigned territory. Leverage product knowledge and customer insights to develop unique value propositions supported by financial impact analysis and feasibility studies. Manage customer relationships and sales activities using Salesforce CRM. Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and stay informed on market trends. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment between customer needs and product offerings. Stay up-to-date with new products, services, and business processes through continuous learning and self-education. Prepare proposals, pricing structures, presentations, and sales forecasts while managing sales programs effectively. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in handling critical business matters. Identify key customer stakeholders, build strong relationships, and drive consensus for deal success. Strategize independently and collaboratively to overcome deal-level challenges. Perform other related duties as assigned. QualificationsTo perform the Technical Sales Representative job successfully, an individual must have prior experience in sales. Minimum Qualifications 2-5 years of sales experience in a relevant industry. High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manuals, procedures, and other business documents in English. Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and minimal traffic violations. Must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle. Willing and able to travel 80% of the time within the Chicago, IL territory. Willing to travel overnight (5-8 days per year) for training and sales meetings. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Prior experience in technical sales, particularly within the battery or energy storage industry. Proven track record of success selling advanced battery chemistries or related technical products. General Job Requirements This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements. Must be able and willing to do overnight travel This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
